Matthew enjoys getting to share his expertise with school administrators and educators, helping them to develop more effective programs that support their students’ goals. One of Matthew’s primary roles has involved establishing a partnership with China, helping to connect international secondary schools with helpful resources.
Before diving into the educational world as a professional, Matthew Schenk spent years building his own set of credentials and equipping himself for the work he wanted to do. He spent his undergraduate years at Grand Canyon University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Education. Then, he went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at Northern Arizona University, followed by a Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Administration from Arizona State University.
Along with his academic degrees, Matthew Schenk holds an assortment of certifications. He is certified in various grade levels and subjects to teach in the state of Arizona, is certified as a principal, is an Arizona Qualified Evaluator, and holds educational certifications from Google. Additional certifications include Structured English Immersion (SEI), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Crisis Response, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid/CPR/AED. Clearly, Matthew is highly qualified to work in educational settings.
Professionally, Matthew Schenk has previously worked in both K-12 schools and at the university level. This has included time spent working with dual-language immersion programs, something he is particularly passionate about. During his time in K-12 settings, Matthew spent several years as a school administrator, helping to manage day-to-day operations, finances, and other important aspects of the school’s operations. In the university setting, Matthew has worked as an Academic Associate at Arizona State University, teaching courses and helping guide students in their studies.
